To Start or Not to Start: Week 8 Edition

Atlanta Falcons @ Philadelphia Eagles  1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Donovan McNabb QB Philadelphia Eagles- 1. Coming off a Bye  2. Falcons Secondary is young. 3. Will have all his weapons playing for the 1st time this year (Curtis, Brown, Westbrook).
  • 2. Roddy White WR Atlanta Falcons- Is emerging as one of the the top WR’s in the league. Shouldn’t be getting double covered with Jim Johnson focusing on stopping the run.

Not to Start:

  • 1.Falcons D/ST- Eagles are averaging about 28 points per game, and coming over a bye, and getting everyone back it seems like they will be wanting to come out with something to prove. Falcons defense is young and I don’t think it’s a good match-up.

Nicky W’s Pick:  E-A-G-L-E-S (-9) over Falcons. I know Andy Reid has been unbeatable after a Bye, but that’s not why I’m picking the Eagles. This is the first game this year they will have their whole offense minus Shawn Andrews. I like the real Birds to win by TD’s.

Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Thomas Jones RB New York Jets- Last week gave up about a million yards rushing. Simple as that.
  • 2. Jets D/ST-  The worst offense in the NFL= Kansas City Chiefs.

Not to Start:

  • 1.  Anyone on the Kansas City Chiefs Team- Please don’t put anyone in your fantasy line-up that will be suiting up for the Chiefs, except Dwayne Bowe and Tony Gonzalez. If you watched football the last couple weeks you already know why.

Nicky W’s Pick: J-E-T-S (-13.5) over Chiefs. Okay lets see, they got a star running back who is spitting on females, they got QB’s who can’t stay on the field, and they got a defense that gives up 400+ yards a game. Jets need a W after losing in OakTown. Who is the Chief’s starting QB this week? Nick Wootsick? It mine as well be.

San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints in London 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Both QB’s- Both teams need a win and it seems like it will be a passing game with two good run defenses. Brees is the top fantasy QB and should be looking for more out of Colston this week. Reggie Bush being out hurts Brees, but he is still a must-start and with the running game struggling look for Rivers to have a big day.

Not to Start:

  • Both D/ST- I would stay away from both D’s this week mainly because both teams need a win bad, and their offenses can be explosive at anytime.
  •

Nicky W’s Pick: Super CHARGERS (-3) over Saints. Both teams need a win REAL BAD. I think the Chargers have a better Defense and the Saints might struggle getting it in the end-zone without Mr. Bush as you saw against the panthers. The Saints will be marching out of England with a LOSS.

St. Louis Rams @ New England Patriots 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Randy Moss WR New England Patriots- Is starting to find ways to get open in the endzone for Matt Cassell, and should continue against questionable Rams secondary.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Rams D/ST- They have played great these last two week, but I find it hard for them to come into New England and continue their success. It looks like Patriots finally found a groove running their offense since Brady was injured.

Nicky W’s Pick: PATRIOTS (-7.5) over the Rams. Stephen Jackson isn't playing.

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1.Trent Edwards QB Buffalo Bills- Has been one of the surprises this season. The Dolphins give up almost 250 passing yards a game. Another good week for Trent.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Chad Pennington QB Miami Dolphins- Bill D kept Rivers under control and picked him off a couple times. Chad throws so questionable balls. Doesn’t have a good match-up against an up and coming secondary.

Nicky W’s Pick: BILLS(-1.5) over Dolphins. Everyone seemed to figured out “The Wildcat”. Bills are playing very good right now. It’s still a big rivalry and I think Bills come out in a nail biter in MIAMI.

Washington Redskins @ Detroit Lions 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Clinton Portis RB Washington Redskins- Has been one of the top RB’s in the league, and should have no problem against a BAD Lions D.
  • 2. Calvin Johnson WR Detroit Lions- How can you not start MEGATRON? I mean I know he has Dan Orslovsky throwing him the ball, but MEGATRON makes things happens as you saw on the 96 yard TD.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Everyone else not named Calvin on the Lions- Just look back on the last 6 weeks. That’s all I have to say.

Nicky W’s Pick: SKINS (7.5) over Lions. No explanation needed. CLINTON PORTIS WILL HAVE A BIG GAME.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Marion Barber RB Dallas Cowboys- Another week without Mr. Simpson, so “The Barbarian” should get A LOT of touches today. If the Cowboys win today he is the man who carries them.
  • 2. Jeff Garcia QB Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Has been playing very well the last couple weeks, and with a secondary that is as beat up as Dallas, it should be another good week for Mr.Garcia.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Brad Johnson QB Dallas Cowboys- Will struggle against a Bucs D that is playing at a very high level. Simply there is no reason for Brad Johnson to be your starting fantasy QB.

Nicky W’s Pick: BUCS (+2.5) over The BOYS. Should be a great game, but I like BUCS defense and I think they can manage to score enough points to come into Dallas and beat a banged up team in the Cowboys.

Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Larry Fitzgerald WR Arizona Cardinals- Has put up huge numbers this year, and should continue to with the return of his buddy Anquan. MUST START.
  • 2. Steve Smith WR Carolina Panthers- Look for Steve  get in the endzone this week just like he did last week against a team with young corners.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Any of the Defenses in this game- Looks like it will be a high scoring affair with playmakers on both offenses. Stay away from both teams D/ST

Nicky W’s Pick: CARDINALS (+4) over Panthers. Should be a high scoring affair, and will be a close game, but I like Cardinals getting the points in this one. Coming off a bye, the return of Anquan Boldin are two things that make me think Cardinals will win this game.

Oakland Raiders @ Baltimore Ravens 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Ravens Defense/ST- The Raiders offense hasn’t matured yet under Mr. Russell, and the Ravens Defense have great veterans that are very good and will make Russell make mistakes.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Jamarcus Russell QB Oakland Raiders- It’s as simple as this, he is going into Baltimore against a very scary Defense led by MR.RAY LEWIS.

Nicky W’s Pick: RAVENS (+7.5) over The RAIIDDERS. I just think Ravens D at Home is too good and the Raiiiidders coming of a win, will be lucky to score a TD. I think Ravens should win by 10.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Houston Texans 4:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Texans Offense- QB Matt Schuab, RB Steve Slaton, WR Andre Johnson all should have another big game at home against a BAD Bengals defense.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Bengals D/ST- READ ABOVE.

Nicky W’s Pick: TEXANS (-9) over Bengals- Texans have won the last two at home, and have an explosive offense. On the other side Bengals haven’t won a game yet, they have an Harvard grad at QB and a Bad Defense. I like the Texans to win by at least 10.

Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars 4:05 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Jaguars RB’s- Fred Taylor and MJD should have big days against a team that has trouble stopping the run. Just ask Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Ward, and Clinton Portis. (Three RB’s who the faced the last two weeks)

Not to Start:

  • 1. Browns D/ST- Will have trouble against a Jaguars offense coming off a bye, who will look to put a lot of points on the scoreboard.

Nicky W’s Pick: JAGUARS (-7) over Browns. Jaguars are coming off a bye and should take control early with the run game. Jaguars will look to get back in the playoff race with two tough teams in their  own division.

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers 4:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Frank Gore RB San Francisco 49ers- Has a good games at home this season, and should have another with a struggling Seahawk D.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Seahawks D/ST- Has struggled this year, and I really don’t think they can pick it up this year. Sorry Mikey.

Nicky W’s Pick: 49ERS (-5) over Hawks. This is the best game on paper this week. NOT. I think the Niners will play for new coach Mike Singletary and they will win at home against a struggling Seahawk team.

N.Y. Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers 4:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Both QB’s- Both QB’s are from the same draft class and they are both going to be compared their whole careers, and this is a big game and good QB’S come and play in big games

Not to Start:

  • 1. Both starting RB- I think both RB will struggle against two of the best run defense in the league.

Nicky W’s Pick: STEELERS (-3) over G-Men. This is the best game on paper, and well be a great game. I like the Steelers in a close game. They have played well after losing their only game to the Eagles. I think Ben has the better of Eli in this one.

Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans Monday Night 8:30 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Peyton Manning QB Indianapolis – This is a BIG GAME. I really think PEYTON is going to have one of those games he needs (3 TD PERFORMANCE)
  • 2. Titans RB duo- Have been the best combo in the RB position all year.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Any of the Colts RB- Titans are the best defense in the league. Addai doesn’t look like he will play, so Rhodes is going to be up against a tough task.

Nicky W’s Pick: Upset Pick* COLTS (+4) over Titans. I have a simple reason behind this. I just think Peyton is going to come up with a big game especially since his team needs it.

To Start or Not to Start: Week 7 Edition

To Start or Not to Start: Week 7 Edition

San Diego Chargers @ Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1.Phillip Rivers QB San Diego- Will be called upon a lot to make things happen with a banged up LT and a tough Bills Run D. Will be without his top WR Chris Chambers, but I think will have a BIG week for the 2nd week in a row.
  • 2. Marshawn Lynch RB Buffalo Bills- Hasn’t had a 100-yard game yet this season. After a bye week I look for the Bills to use Lynch more and with a Chargers Run D without their main man Mr. Merriman, I really think Lynch could be in for a GREAT game, especially with Cromartie and crew taking away the Bills passing game.

Not to Start:

  • 1.Trent Edwards QB Buffalo Bills- Will play, but first game back since the concussion. Doesn’t have a good matchup with a Chargers secondary playing extremely well right now.

Nicky W’s Pick:  San Diego “SUPER CHARGERS” (Even) over Bills.

I like the way the Chargers are playing right now. They will come into Ralph Wilson and win a close one over the Bills.

Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. DA BEARS “D /ST”- Will be upset about a tough lost in HotLanta, and with a Vikings offense that only scored 12 points on the Lions (One Big Play).  You have to wonder when will Hester get one of his returns? This Week.
  • 2. Bernard Berrian Minnesota Vikings WR- Will be coming back to play his former team. He also has been Gus Ferotte’s favorite target these last couple weeks, and with a Bears D that will be focused on AP and a banged up secondary with practice squad players in the game. Berrian looks like he can have a very nice Homecoming in Chi Town.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Adrian Peterson Minnesota Vikings RB- Hasn’t been himself these last couple weeks and has a tough match-up against a Bears D who loves stopping the run.
  • 2. Any of DA BEARS WR’s- Nobody has really put great numbers up these last couple weeks, and doesn’t look they will this week.

Nicky W’s Pick: DA BEARS (-3) over Vikings. Last week’s last second loss is either going to stay with DA BEARS or going to motivate them. I think it motivates them and DA BEARS get over .500 and look to control the NFC North.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. “Big Ben” Roethlisberger QB Pittsburgh Steelers- Big Ben will have his way against a struggling Bengals team and they bye week only helped. Look for him to post numbers similar to what he did in Jacksonville.
  • 2. Steelers D/ST- They are up against a Harvard graduate and a team with 0 wins. They will be pumped up because it is a rivalry. I like their chances.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Anyone on the Cincinnati Bengals Offense- Ryan Fitzpatrick, Simply No. Chris Perry, Umm No. T.J. Houshmanzadeh, Maybe. Chad Johnson, I wouldn’t count on it. Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, and Co. O yeh.

Nicky W’s Pick: STEELERS (9.5) over Bengals. After a bye week, Big Ben at QB, A Harvard Grad at QB on the opposing team, I like the Steelers to go into Cincy and win by 10 or more.

Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Chris Johnson and LenDale White RB’s Tennessee Titans- After a bye week the RB duo will have their way against a bad Chiefs team. I can see 3 TD’s between these two RB’s.
  • 2. Titans D/ST- Is already the best defense in the league, and they are going against arguably the worst offense in the league without their star RB. I would take the best defense coming off a bye in this one.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Anyone on the Chief’s Offense- First of all there is only two people ever worth starting on this offense and one doesn’t show up to meetings and is suspended and the other wants to get traded.

Nicky W’s Pick: TITANS (-9) over The Chiefs. Sorry Kansas City, but without Larry Johnson you will be VERY lucky to get a FG in this game.

Dallas Cowboys @ St. Louis Rams 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Marion Barber RB Dallas Cowboys- Even if Romo starts they won’t over use him, and that means “The Barbarian” gets the workload. He has been a great fantasy player when he gets the touches in games and this game, he should. The Rams run D isn’t really good in the first place, just ask any of the RB’s in the NFC East.
  • 2.Torry Holt WR St. Louis Rams- Hasn’t had a big game this year, but with a hurt Dallas secondary and NFL’s troublemaker not playing this could be the big game we all know he is capable of having.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Any of the Cowboys QB’s (especially Brad Johnson)- Like I said, even if Romo plays I don’t think he is going to be effective and put up good fantasy numbers. Also Rams secondary didn’t look bad against Santana Moss and Co.

Nicky W’s Pick: COWBOYS (-7) over Rams. When you look at this match-up it’s the arguably most talented football team in the league with Romo playing, and with the addition of Roy E. Williams things only got better. I mean common sense says they should win by at least a TD.

Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Ravens D/ST- Were embarrassed last week, look for Ray Lewis and the rest of the D to come back from it and play very hard.
  • 2. Ronnie Brown RB Miami Dolphins- Used is a lot of different formations and positions. I can see him having two or three game-changing plays.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Joe Flacco Baltimore Ravens QB- The rookie QB will have a tough time against a stingy D led by defensive minded head coach Tony Sparano. Won’t put up numbers worth to start on your fantasy team.

Nicky W’s Pick: DOLPHINS (-3) over Ravens. To me it looks like the Ravens are going down hill after starting 2-0, and I think they are going to continue to keep going. Dolphins are coming off a last second lost in Houston, and should rebound and get a W at home against a struggling Ravens team.

San Francisco 49ers @ N.Y. Giants 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Eli Manning QB New York Giants- I think he is going to have a huge week this week. Eli will rebound nicely at home and torch a Niners secondary like Donovan Mcnabb did a week earlier.
  • 2. Frank Gore RB San Francisco 49ers-  I personally think Frank Gore is a STUD in fantasy and if they kept using him in the Philly game it would have been closer in the end.

Not to Start:

  • 1. JT O’Sullivan QB San Francisco 49ers- Will struggle against a Giants D that got embarrassed last Monday by Derek Anderson.  J.T has been sacked for a league high 23 times AKA Look for Justin Tuck and CO. to make Mr. O’ Sullivan’s day MISERABLE.

Nicky W’s Pick: G-MEN (-10.5) over Niners. The New York Football Giants will play with a chip on their shoulder to show they are still arguably the best team in the NFL. I like the G-MEN to win by at least 2 TD’s. For the Niners to win The Irishman J.T O’ Sullivan has to do his best Joe Montana or Steve Young impersonation, but both very UNLIKELY.

New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers 1:00 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Drew Brees QB New Orleans Saints- Has been the best fantasy QB all year, and should continue to be against a mediocre Panthers pass defense. O yeh, did I mention the “Best Fantasy QB” gets his two biggest weapons back (Colston and Shockey).
  • 2. Steve Smith WR Carolina Panthers- Look for Steve  get in the endzone this week against a team with very questionable corners.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Any of the Defenses in this game- Looks like it will be a high scoring affair with playmakers on both offenses. Stay away from both teams D/ST, but since special teams comes with defense in fantasy, you can never count out a punt or kick return by Mr. Smith or Mr. Bush.

Nicky W’s Pick:  Upset Pick: SAINTS (+3) over Panthers. I like how the Saints played last week, and the addition of Colston and Shockey will only make their offense more dangerous. Plus Saints are 3-0 when Ms. Kardashian is in attendance. Let’s hope she makes the trip to Carolina. I like the Saints in a close one.

Detroit Lions @ Houston Texans 4:05 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Anyone on the Texans Offense- Score a lot of points at home, and will continue to do so against a TERRIBLE Lions team. Look for Schuab, Slaton, Johnson, and CO. to put up big fantasy numbers.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Lions whole team- Well I can say there may only be one player on the Lions team to start and that is Calvin “Megatron” Johnson. They traded Roy Williams, so that means Megatron should get double covered a lot. Bottom line is Lions=Worst team in NFL.

Nicky W’s Pick: TEXANS (-9.5) over Lions. I really like the Texans offense, and if there defense can come around that could be a pretty good team. The defense should come around against an offense that has a QB named Orlovsky that didn’t know where out of bounds was in his own endzone. Texans will win their 2nd in a row by 2 TD’s.

N.Y Jets @ Oakland Raiders 4:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Brett Farve-  One reason: Last time Farve played in Oakland, 22 of 30 399 yards and 4 TD’s.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Anyone on the Raiders Offense- One reason: Have not scored an offensive TD in 3 weeks.

Nicky W’s Pick: J-E-T-S (-3) over The Raiiiders. Simple explanation for this pick, BRETT FARVE. Jets win by at least a TD.

Indianapolis Colts @ Green Bay Packers 4:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Both QB’s- Both Peyton and Aaron are playing at high levels right now, and I think both will have there way on secondaries that are both banged up right now.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Both teams RB’s- The RB’s in this game will struggle. Addai is hurt, Grant isn’t completely healthy. It’s going to be a QB’S game.

Nicky W’s Pick: Packers (+1) over Colts. Will come down to whoever has the ball last. I like the home team in Lambeau.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins 4:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Clinton Portis RB Washington Redskins- Has been one of the best RB’s thus far this season. Looking for another big week against a team that gave up 100 plus to Derrick Ward last week.
  • 2. Braylon Edwards WR Cleveland Browns- Came out of a slump last week with a HUGE night. They bye week helped him I think he has another huge day against the Skins.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Jamal Lewis RB Cleveland Browns- The Skins have controlled for the most part all the RB’s they have faced.

Nicky W’s Pick: Upset Pick BROWNS (+7.5) over Skins. I think the Browns have got back to life and showed some flashbacks of last year’s offense. I think it is a very close game. Dawson or Suisham will decide this one.

Seattle Seahawks @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8:15 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Buccaneers Defense/ST- One of the best in the league, and is up against a disappointing Seahawks team led by Seneca Wallace. They are also at Raymond James Stadium where they haven’t lost all year. It looks pretty good for the Bucs.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Anyone on Seattle’s Offense- Well it’s a disappointing start of the season for the Seahawks and it doesn’t get any easier against a tough Buc’s D on the road. Did I mention Seneca Wallace is the starting QB for the Hawks.

Nicky W’s Pick: BUCCANEERS (10.5) over Seahawks.  I think if it was in Seattle I would take the Hawks, but the Buc’s are coming off a game where they held a good Panthers offense to only 3 points. It truthfully will be hard for the Hawks to score any points in this one. Sorry Mikey.

Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots Monday Night 8:30 PM

To Start:

  • 1. Jay Cutler QB Denver Broncos- Gets a weapon back in Eddie Royal, and has one of the best in Brandon Marshall. Easy Start.
  • 2. Randy Moss WR New England- Goes against a struggling Bronco secondary. If Cassel can find him LOOK OUT.

Not to Start:

  • 1. Both Defense/ST- Broncos have one of the best offenses in the league, but they also don’t have a great defense and they are playing on the road.

Nicky W’s Pick: Broncos (+3) over Patriots. I think Cutler could do his best Brady impersonation and light up the score in Foxboro. I like the Broncos getting the Points.

Alway Sunny in Philadelphia? I don't know, but I'll tell you what it's Always Interesting in Philadelphia.

Right now, on a Sunday night at 11:30 PM eastern standard time I sit here with mixed emotions. For the second week in a row two Philadelphia sports teams played on a Sunday, and for the second week in a row only one Philadelphia sport team came out with a W.

Last Sunday, the Philadelphia Phillies won their NLDS over the Milwaukee Brewers in a series that lasted four games. After this game  I was very excited being that this was the first series the Fightin's won since 1993 (By the way whoever is reading this doesn't need to remind me of what happen that year). While the Fightin's brought my day up, it was only a matter of time until another Philadelphia sports team brought it down.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost a game where they got outplayed, outworked, and most of all out-coached by a Washington Redskins team led by new coach Jim Zorn. The one thing I noticed that I believe is a major factor in their  2 out of their 3 losses, including this one against the Redskins is the play calling in the red-zone. The one thing that gets me the most out of their two losses is the two opportunities they had from the GOALINE  on 1st and Goal, but couldn’t push it in. This frustrates me because I don’t understand why when you have a QB that is 6’2 250 pounds, you don’t try one QB sneak right up the middle. I just think a QB sneak would be more successful down at the goaline because it doesn’t allow the defensive lineman to have enough time to get a good push and be in the backfield. These two opportunities at the goaline were two huge parts of why I believe Eagles lost those two games.

This Sunday, at 4:15 eastern standard time the Philadelphia Eagles were in a must win game against the San Francisco  49ers. Most of the first half of the game it looked like the usual, the Eagles with their NFL leading most points in the first half were up late in the 2nd Quarter 17-6, when the 49ers score 10 points in less then 3 minutes, including a blocked FG for a TD that ended the first half. This play clearly gave the 49ers the momentum leading into the second half as they came out and drove down the field for a Frank Gore TD on their first possession of the 2nd half and took the lead 23-17. They later added another FG that gave the 49ers 20 unanswered points and a lead 26-17 late in the 3rd quarter.

Around this time I was online and my buddy Joe Giglio (a huge Giant and Yankee fan) sent me a message say “Are you ready to give up on the Eagles yet?” I replied, “If they lose this one it would be trouble.” If they would lose this they would fall to 2-4, which would put them in the basement of the NFC East and be riding a three game losing streak into the bye week. After a Donovan Mcnabb interception, which looked like a miscommunication between Mcnabb and his tight end L.J. Smith it looked like the Eagles were on their way to a three game losing streak, but suddenly an unlikely defensive lineman stepped up in a big way and saved the game (perhaps the season for the Eagles). Juqua Parker stopped made a great play on a 49er reverse that caused a huge loss, and caused the momentum to switch to the Eagles. The next drive the Eagles drove down the field for a Mcnabb to Smith TD pass, which cut the lead to 26-24 in the 4th quarter. The eagles would then stop the 49ers on their next three possessions and take the lead with 3 more FG, which brought the score to 33-26 late in the 4th quarter.  Then with the 49ers with one last chance and trying to drive down the field for a TD that would send the game to OT, Juqua Parker makes another great play intercepting J.T. O’ Sullivan and running for a TD, which put the game away and gave the Eagles a win and a  .500 record going into the bye week in a wild NFC East where today the Cowboys lost in the desert, while the Redskins lose in the nation’s capital to  a team that was arguably the worst team in the league in the St. Louis Rams.

Now after celebrating for about an hour, it’s 8:22 PM eastern standard time and time for the first pitch of Game 3 of the NLCS. The Phillies were looking to go 3-0 in the series, but after a rough first inning where Jamie Moyer gave up 5 runs. The Phillies would never come back from the deficit and lost the game 7-2.

It is now almost Midnight eastern standard time and I sit here with mixed emotions. For the second straight week as I said earlier one Philadelphia team brings you up while the other bring you right back down. But as I sit here and think the Philadelphia Phillies are  still up 2-1 in a best of seven series along with home-field advantage with Game 4 being played Monday night, while the Philadelphia Eagles go into a bye week with a 3-3 record and very much still alive in a very WILD NFC. So as I end this I want to say two things:

1. Go Phillies, Beat L.A.!

2. While it might not be Alway Sunny being a Philadelphia fan, it definitely is Always Interesting being one.
